My first impressions of the Canon PowerShot G9 is that it’s a very solid camera with a good weight to it. The well constructed camera body gives it a PRO like feel much like my previous 1D Mark2. It’s the closest thing to a PRO level camera in point-n-shoot category. The settings are easy to navigate; both the external buttons and the onscreen menus are nicely laid out. Continue reading »

So, I went for a walk on the beach one stormy afternoon and found this single fisherman fishing in this dreadful weather. I thought briefly that I should go ask him why he is finishing in such bad weather… Then I realized he could ask me pretty much the same question on why I was there. So instead I took a picture of him from a far. Did a little bit of an HDR process to bring out the clouds a bit more. Continue reading »

I took this photograph years ago in my old portrait studio. It has become one of my favorites I shot during this time. The story behind is quite funny; he really wanted to lick or eat my camera and would not sit still for more than 3 seconds before lunging at me trying to get at it. Continue reading »
